This restored version of Return to Glennascaul, an Irish ghost story directed by Gate Theatre producer Hilton Edwards and starring Orson Welles, is introduced by filmmaker and Welles scholar Peter Bogdanovich. Out of circulation for over forty years, the Academy Award nominated short film features Welles, playing himself, who, while driving home from the studio on a foggy evening, offers a ride to an Irishman whose car has broken down. His passenger shares a spooky anecdote about the night he stopped to assist a mother and daughter on the same stretch of road and the eerie surprise that resulted from his encounter with them. Directed by Hilton Edwards.
